North Dakota Capitol Multipurpose Building Referendum, Measure 1 (1970)
The North Dakota Capitol Multipurpose Building Referendum, also known as Measure 1, was on the September 1, 1970 ballot in North Dakota as a legislatively referred state statute, where it was defeated.[1] The measure would have authorized the State Industrial Commission to construct a multipurpose building immediately east of the state capitol building for the use of the Bank of North Dakota and general purposes as prescribed by the legislative assembly. It would have appropriated $3.2 million for the project.[2]
