North Dakota Continuity of State and Local Government Operations, Referendum 1 (1962)

The North Dakota Continuity of State and Local Government Operations Referendum, also known as Referendum 1, was on the June 26, 1962 ballot in North Dakota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved.[1][2] The measure granted the North Dakota Legislative Assembly unlimited authority, including the waiver of constitutional restrictions, to provide for continuity of state and local government operations in periods of emergency resulting from disaster caused by enemy attack.[3]
