The North Dakota Crop Mortgage Initiative was on the November 8, 1932 ballot in North Dakota as an initiated state statute, where it was defeated. The measure would have permitted the mortgaging of crops with certain criteria. This included that the mortgage could only be attached to the crop next maturing after the deliver of such mortgage, unless the mortgage was securing the purchase price or rental of the land on which the crops were grown.[1][2]
