|
The North Dakota Executive Article Referendum, also known as Amendment 4, was on the November 4, 1980 ballot in North Dakota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated.[1] The measure would have repealed Article III of the North Dakota Constitution that outlines the executive branch of state government and replaced it with a new article. The new article would have permitted the legislative assembly to reorganize the executive departments into no more than 15 principle state departments.[2]
