North Dakota Hail Insurance Referendum (1918)

The North Dakota Hail Insurance Referendum, was on the November , 5 1918 ballot in North Dakota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved.[1] The measure allowed the North Dakota Legislative Assembly to levy land property taxes to fund hail insurance for crops. A related initiated constitutional amendment was also passed in 1918, which created an acreage tax to provide for hail crop insurance funding.[2]
