North Dakota Judicial Conduct Commission

The North Dakota Judicial Conduct Commission is a judicial disciplinary agency in North Dakota.[1]

Note: State judicial disciplinary agencies do not have appellate jurisdiction or authority over federal court judges and justices.

Organization

The commission is made up of seven members: two district court judges, one lawyer and four members of the public. The judges are chosen by the state judges' association, the lawyer is chosen by the board of governors of the state bar association of North Dakota, and the members of the public are appointed by the governor. Terms are for three years, with a two full-term limit.[2]
