North Dakota Legislative Assembly Article Referendum, Measure 2 (1984)

The North Dakota Legislative Assembly Article Referendum, also known as Measure 2, was on the June 12, 1984 ballot in North Dakota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved.[1]
The measure created eight new sections to Article IV of the North Dakota Constitution providing for a legislative assembly that consists of a Senate and House of Representatives and establishes the terms of office and the allowable number of legislators in each house. The amendment also provided for the organization of legislative districts, reorganization based on one-man, one-vote principles and restrictions on legislators serving in other state offices. The amendment also repealed sections 1 through 13 and sections 16 through 18, and sections 22 through 24 of Article IV. These changes took effect on December l, 1986.[2] A similar measure failed in 1982.
