The North Dakota Legislative Sessions Referendum, also known as Amendment 2, was on the September 7, 1976 ballot in North Dakota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved.[1] The measure stipulated that the legislative assembly should meet in December following an election of the members for an organizational meeting. After this meeting, the regular legislative session would begin on the first Tuesday after the third day in January or another date prescribed by law, so long as it was not past January 11. The measure also set the length of the session to 80 natural days during the biennium.[2]
