North Dakota Lieutenant Governor as Presiding Officer, Measure 1 (1990)

The North Dakota Lieutenant Governor as Presiding Officer Referendum, also known as Measure 1, was on the June 12, 1990 ballot in North Dakota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated.[1] The measure would have removed the lieutenant governor as presiding officer of the Senate and provided that the presiding officer of the Senate must be elected from the membership of the Senate.[2]
