The North Dakota State Senate Reapportioning Referendum, also known as Amendment 3, was on the June 28, 1960 ballot in North Dakota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved.[1][2]

The measure provided for 49 state senatorial districts and 49 state senators. It also made it mandatory after each official census that the Supreme Court Chief Justice, Attorney General, Secretary of State, and the majority and minority leaders of the House of Representatives reapportion the members of the house of representatives according to the constitutional provisions, if the legislative assembly fails to make an apportionment.[3]
