Impact of redistricting
- See also: Redistricting in North Dakota
The Republican-controlled Legislature passed a redistricting plan in a special session on November 8, 2012; Gov. Jack Dalrymple (R) signed it the next day. While the number of districts remained the same, the legislature drew new districts in Bismarck and Fargo to account for population shifts from rural areas in the state. Some incumbents were paired in the same district.[3]
