The North Dakota Tax Commissioner Referendum, also known as Senate Bill 67, was on the June 26, 1919 ballot in North Dakota as a veto referendum, where it was approved.[1] The measure created the office of tax commissioner as an appointment made by the governor with the consent of the senate.[2]

Text of measure

Summary

The measure created the office of North Dakota Tax Commissioner as an appointed official. It was later changed to an elected office in 1941. North Dakota has the only elected Tax Commissioner in the United State.[2]
