North Dakota Vehicle Searches, Measure 6 (1992)

The North Dakota Vehicle Searches Initiative, also known as Measure 6, was on the November 3, 1992 ballot in North Dakota as an initiated state statute, where it was defeated.[1][2] The measure would have prohibited the stopping and searching of vehicles and the occupants thereof at random or otherwise without probable cause by any law enforcement officer. It would have made any evidence obtained in violation of this inadmissible in any administrative, civil or criminal proceeding.[3]
