North Dakota Vietnam Veterans Bond Issue Referendum, Amendment 1 (1970)

The North Dakota Vietnam Veterans Bond Issue Referendum, also known as Amendment 1, was on the September 1, 1970 ballot in North Dakota as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was approved.[1] The measure authorized the sale of bonds to pay for the adjusted compensation to North Dakota veterans of the Vietnam conflict.[2]
Aftermath
In 1978, this amendment was repealed by another legislatively referred constitutional amendment. The 1978 measure repealed amendments pertaining to issuance of bonds to pay for bonuses to veterans of World War II and the Korean and Vietnam conflicts.
