The North Dakota judicial elections of 2010 consisted of a Primary Election on June 8, 2010 and a General Election on November 2, 2010.
Primary overview
- There was one open seat on the North Dakota Supreme Court.
- There were four open seats on the North Dakota Southeast Judicial District. The seats of: John T. Paulson; Mikal Simonson; James M. Bekken; and Daniel D. Narum.
- There was one opening for the position of Jamestown Municipal Judge.[1]
General election overview
- Carol Ronning Kapsner was re-elected to the court.
- James M. Bekken passed away on May 3, 2010.
Supreme Court
The 10-year terms of office for Justices of the Supreme Court begin on January 1st following the election.[2]

Judicial districts
There were 16 district court positions on the ballot, 12 of which were uncontested.
The six-year terms of office for Judges of the District Court began on January 1st following the election.[2]
Municipal courts
- Roline Taylor did not run for another term on the North Dakota Municipal Courts in 2010. Candidates for her seat were Donald Groll and Keith King. Keith King was elected to the position in the June 8 primary election.[11]
- Robert Keogh was re-elected to the Municipal Court in Dickinson.[12]
- Karen Saxowsky was appointed as municipal judge in Hebron a year and a half ago and was officially elected to the court in 2010.[13]
- David Walth was elected to another term on the Dodge court and is looking to add a judgeship in Dunn Center.[14][15]
- Mark Rasmuson lost the election to challenger Aaron Vibeto for the Minot Municipal Court on June 8, 2010.[16][17]
