This measure sought to renew the current cemetery levy which is set at a rate of $.05 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for maintenance costs of the cemeteries in the township.[2]

The question on the ballot:
A renewal of a tax for the benefit of North Township for the purpose of MAINTENANCE OF CEMETERIES at a rate not exceeding one-half (0.5) mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to five cents ($0.05) for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five (5) years, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.[3] |
