Voting information

Qualifications
Article II, Section 2 of the Constitution of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands states that a senator shall:
- be qualified to vote in the Commonwealth;
- be at least 25 years of age; and
- a resident and domiciliary of the Commonwealth for at least five years immediately preceding the date on which the senator takes office.[1]
Swearing in dates
The Northern Mariana Islands' legislators assume office on the second Monday of January following their election.[2]
