The Northwest Wildland Fire Protection Agreement is an interstate compact between Alaska, Idaho, Montana, Oregon, and Washington. Its purpose is to "promote effective prevention, presuppression and control of forest fires in the northwest wildland." The compact also has congressional consent.[1][2]

Text of the compact

The legislature of each member state passes the laws with certain modifications, but the core of the legislation remains the same.[2]
