Two Oakesdale Town Street & Safety Levy Implementation measures were on the November 2, 2010 ballot in the town of Oakesdale which is in Whitman County.
Both measures were approved
Safety Measure
- YES 173 (73.31%)
- NO 63 (26.69%)
Street Measure
- YES 172 (72.88%)
- NO 64 (27.12%)[1]
The first measure sought to impose a property tax set at a rate of $1.32 per $1,000 of assessed property value in order to help pay for public safety and law and fire protection services in the town.
The second measure sought to impose a property tax set at a rate of $1.97 per $1,000 of assessed property value in order to help pay for street improvements and street lights in the town.[2]
