Obama's intended order to reduce CO2 emissions is opposed by Idaho representative Simpson

Boise, Idaho: On Tuesday Obama expressed his intention of giving an executive order to reduce power plan emissions through the U.S. This spurred Representative Mike Simpson (R-2) to state on Thursday that he would use his position as chairman of the subcommittee for environmental budgets and spending to fight Obama's orders, saying that they indicate Obama's "contempt for congressional processes." After reminding the executive office that his House Appropriations Subcommittee on Interior and the Environment will be the author of the fiscal 2014 budget for the Environmental Protection Agency, Simpson said, “Whether through provisions in the underlying bill or through amendments, I expect that when my bill reaches the House floor we’ll have a robust debate on the President’s contempt for the congressional processes envisioned by our Founders and on the overreach of his upcoming actions on greenhouse gases. I am very much looking forward to that debate.”
