Mike Carey (R) defeated Allison Russo (D) to win the special election in Ohio's 15th Congressional District in the U.S. House. Carey and Russo won their respective primaries on August 3, 2021, to advance to the special general election on November 2, 2021.[3] The filing deadline was May 17, 2021.[4]
The special election filled the vacancy left by Steve Stivers (R), who resigned to become the President and CEO of the Ohio Chamber of Commerce, effective May 16, 2021.[5]

- Jeffrey Fix (R)
Brian Stewart unofficially withdrew from the Republican primary and still appeared on the ballot. Any votes he received were not reported in the official results.[7][8]
