The Ohio Denial of Right to Vote Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the October 8, 1867 ballot in Ohio as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have denied draft dodgers, deserters and those who fought for the Confederacy the right to vote.[1]
