The Ohio End Cannabis Prohibition Act of 2012 was not put on the November 4, 2014 ballot in Ohio as an initiated constitutional amendment. The measure would have nullified the 2012 Ohio Cannabis Prohibition Act and provided for the legalization and regulation of cannabis in the state.[1][2]

Path to the ballot
Petitioners had to submit 1,000 signatures with the initial petition filing. While supporters were able to submit 1,299 valid signatures for that requirement on August 2, 2013, the Attorney General of Ohio ruled that the summary submitted with the measure was not "a fair and truthful representation of the proposed amendment," and, thus, rejected the initiative on August 12, 2013.[3]
