A Ohio House Bill 7 Referendum was not on the November 3, 2015 ballot in Ohio as a veto referendum. If approved by voters, the measure would have done the following:[1]
- Permitted the Bureau of Criminal Identification and Investigation to investigate criminal activity related to the Gambling Law
- Made changes related to schemes of chance
- Required certifications related to the conduct of a sweepstakes

Path to the ballot
Petitioners needed to submit 1,000 signatures with the initial petition filing. If the initiative's filing was approved, petitioners would have then needed to collect 305,591 signatures by July 1, 2015, to get the initiative placed on the November 2015 ballot.
