The Ohio Medical Right to Refuse Initiative was not on the ballot in Ohio as an initiated constitutional amendment on November 7, 2023.

This ballot measure would have provided for a state constitutional right to "refuse any medical procedure, treatment, injection, vaccine, prophylactic, pharmaceutical, or medical device". The measure would have also stated that no "law, rule, regulation, person, employer, entity, or healthcare provider" can mandate, coerce, or require an individual to any medical treatment or procedure.

Stages of this ballot initiative

On June 15, 2022, petitioners submitted the initiative to the Ohio Attorney General, Dave Yost. On June 24, the initiative was certified by the attorney general, clearing it for signature gathering.[1] Signatures were not submitted for the 2023 ballot.
