Ohio Primary Election and Delegate Selection Requirements Amendment was on the ballot as a constitutional convention referral in Ohio on September 3, 1912. It was approved.

A “yes” vote supported this constitutional amendment to:

  • require primary elections for state and local offices in areas with populations over 2,000;
  • require a preferential vote for U.S. Senate candidates;
  • require national convention delegate candidates to declare their preference between presidential candidates; and
  • require that delegates to national political party conventions be chosen by primary elections.
