Ballot title

The ballot title for Require Elections for Delegates for National Political Party Conventions Amendment was as follows:

To require delegates to national conventions of political parties to be chosen by the voters in a manner provided by law. If adopted the amendment shall take effect January 1, 1976.

A 60% vote is required during one legislative session for the Ohio State Legislature to place a constitutional amendment on the ballot. That amounts to a minimum of 60 votes in the Ohio House of Representatives and 20 votes in the Ohio State Senate, assuming no vacancies.
