The Ohio Sessions of the General Assembly Amendment, also known as Amendment 1, was on the October 11, 1859 ballot in Ohio as a legislatively referred constitutional amendment, where it was defeated. The measure would have provided that the general assembly commence on the first Monday of January annually.
