Oklahoma governor announces appointment to state Court of Civil Appeals

Oklahoma City, Oklahoma: Governor Mary Fallin has announced the appointment of Brian Goree to the Oklahoma Court of Civil Appeals, serving District 6, Office 2. This position was formerly held by Judge Carol Hansen, who resigned in January 2012.[1]
Goree has practiced law since 1989, and has primarily focused on litigation research and writing.[1] He has worked for Toon Osmond PLLC since January 2012. He has also been employed by two other law firms over the course of his career, including a spell as the head of research and writing at Latham, Wagner, Steele and Lehman, a Tulsa civil defense firm.[2] He is a volunteer with Tulsa Lawyers for Children, and is a past chairman of the Appellate Practice Section of the Oklahoma Bar Association.[3]
Goree earned a bachelor's degree in chemistry from the University of Oklahoma, and earned his J.D. from the University of Tulsa College of Law.[3]
