|- Opportunity for Every Child: Orleans Parish must be a place where every student receives the support, resources, and opportunities they need to be successful
- An A-rated school in every neighborhood: Parents should have the option to send their child to a great school down the street if that's what they desire. And while we've seen an increase in the number of high quality seats that are available to students and families, we need more.
- Implement a comprehensive racial equity plan, that includes equitable funding for schools, a strong Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) program, and equity training for all school and NOLA Public Schools staff.
I started my career in public education in 2007 as a certified math teacher at an alternative high school. Since my very first day in the classroom, I have worked diligently to improve public education as a former teacher of the year, assistant football coach, chess club founder, instructional coach, and administrator at the Louisiana Department of Education.
