Olivia is a recently published author, blogger and podcast host. She has extensive digital marketing experience, as well as experience working with nonprofits, event planning & photography. She is currently homeschooling & homesteading with her family outside Derby. She has been appointed as the Marketing Director for the Libertarian Party of Kansas (LPKS) since 2020. She was chosen to represent LPKS as a delegate to the Libertarian National Convention in 2022. She is active in local and state politics to include serving on the Sedgwick County 5th District Citizens Advisory Board since 2021, the Oaklawn Leadership Committee and is an advisor with the Kansas Cannabis Coalition. She is an outspoken advocate for small government and personal freedoms.
  • Olivia stands for small government. She believes that as long as you are not violating anybody else's right to life, liberty, or property, then the government shouldn't be bothering you.
  • Olivia also stands for significant immigration reform. Borders are meant to restrict government, not people, and we should work to make legal immigration a streamlined and easy process for all.
  • Finally, Olivia stands for low taxes. The ever increasing tax burden on Kansas families has become unbearable for many people, and the current elected members of the senate are only making it worse. It's time we elect a candidate who pledges to cut wasteful government spending and give Kansas taxpayers the relief they so desperately need.
Immigration reform, Cannabis reform, 2nd amendment rights, Women's healthcare, Private property rights, Lowering taxes, Reducing or eliminating government involvement wherever possible.
The most important characteristic of an elected official is somebody who wants to leave you alone and let you run your own life. It seems like the Kansas legislature is increasingly worried about what other people are doing, even when those actions have no affect on anybody else. We need politicians who want to drastically reduce the size and scope of the state government, and let people make their own decisions and run their own lives.
As with any elected official, state senators have a fiduciary duty to their electorate. Drastically reducing government spending is a good start, but it is also important to ensure that what money is being spent is being done so responsibly. This includes fully reading and understanding every bill that comes up for a vote, and acting in the best interest of the voters.
I would like to leave a legacy personal freedom that I hope continues long after I leave the state legislature.
Quite the opposite, actually. Olivia does not believe "career politicians" should be a thing but rather a steady stream of regular citizens taking their turn representing each other.
Many of my constituents have complained to me personally about how excessive taxation has affected their lives. Many of them pay in excess of $20,000-$30,000 every single year in taxes. This level of taxation simply isn't sustainable and I think it is ridiculous that we have Kansas residents who can't afford to buy a home, yet they pay the equivalent of a down payment every year in taxes.
There should be not a single dollar of government funds spent without it being public and easily accessible. This will allow the voters to hold all of their elected officials accountable. Our current government is nowhere near transparent enough.
