September 17, 2010
BOSTON, Massachusetts: The legislative primaries held on September 14 saw one House incumbent lose to a challenger while all Senate incumbents won their primaries. The candidate who lost was Democratic candidate Pamela Richardson.[1]
Richardson, a two-term representative, lost to challenger Chris Walsh, an architect and small business owner. Walsh goes on to face Jim Rizoli (I) and Jim Pillsbury (I) in the general election. If he wins, he will be the only registered architect in the Massachusetts State House.
