Ballot title

The ballot title for Measure Nos. 324-325 was as follows:

Constitutional Amendment - Proposed by Initiative Petition - Vote YES or NO

STATE WATER POWER AND HYDROELECTRIC CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT - Purpose: To require all water for power development and water power sites now or hereafter owned by the state to be held by in perpetually; and authorizing the state: to control, develop, lease water power and power sites; control, use, distribute, sell, dispose of electric energy; separately or with the United States, other states or state subdivisions; acquire from such sources water power and electric energy; fix rates and charges for water power and electric energy; fix rates and charges for water power and electric energy; loan the state’s credit and incur indebtedness not exceeding 6 per cent of assessed valuation; commission of three nonpartisan elected members to administer these powers.
