Oregon Measure 66 & 67 ballots due today, polls reveal close election

SALEM, Oregon: The campaigns for Oregon's Measure 66 and 67 are officially wrapping up. Today at 8 p.m. (PST) marks the deadline for ballot submissions across the state.[1] The voting by mail deadline has already passed but drop box locations can be found here. According to reports, election officials expect a 65% turnout rate. Measures 66 and 67 are on today's ballot as potential veto votes on an estimated $733 million tax hike enacted by the Oregon State Legislature in 2009. Specifically the measures increase the state's corporate minimum tax, raise taxes on the state's high-income individual and raise income taxes on businesses.[2][3]
