The Oregon Uniform and Reasonable Hospital Rates Initiative, also known as Reasonable Rates In Hospitals, did not make the November 4, 2014 ballot as an initiated state statute. The measure would have required hospitals to set uniform and reasonable rates for individuals and health plans. It also would have capped rates and required excess funds to be refunded.[1]

Meg Niemi and Lawrence Arnbrister were the chief petitioners for the measure.[1]

The measure was submitted to the Oregon Secretary of State on January 2, 2014. The chief petitioners withdrew it on February 20, 2014. If the measure had gone forward, supporters would have been required to collect a minimum of 87,213 valid signatures by July 3, 2014 to place the measure on the ballot.[1]
