Oren Lewis
Oren Ritter Lewis (1902-1983) was a federal judge on the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.[1]
Lewis was nominated by President Dwight Eisenhower on March 21, 1960, to a seat vacated by Charles Hutcheson; he was confirmed by the Senate on May 31, 1960, and received commission that same day. He assumed senior status on January 1, 1974, and served in that capacity until his death on June 12, 1983.[1] Lewis was succeeded in this position by David Warriner.
