Campaign website
Sanchez's campaign website stated the following:
Fight to Slash Property Tax Rates
Only Orlando Sanchez has the experience in both business and local government to clean up the mess created by Courthouse Liberals. He’ll restore Sanity to Harris County Government on DAY ONE.
Prioritize Public Safety and Keep Criminals In Jail
The judicial revolving door that too many Liberal Judges have created MUST END through mandatory sentencing guidelines and reducing the amount of discretion allowed when it comes to repeat offenders or egregious crimes against our Citizens.
Deliver Flood Relief and Disaster Recovery
Hurricanes Harvey and Beryl and other major tropical storms are no longer uncommon occurrences. Long term planning and better plans with regional cooperation being an absolute must are what Orlando will demand of government at all levels. On this issue, Orlando will help Harris County, and often forgotten communities like Kingwood, because he understands best what is at stake and at risk.
Restore Fiscal Sanity to the Commissioners Court
Orlando will end unnecessary travel and reprioritize spending to essentials and basic services that Harris County Taxpayers demand and deserve.
Support Governor Abbott’s 5 Point Plan for Property Tax Relief
Governor Abbott will need strong leadership from local government to get this initiative through the Legislature to bring about real property tax reform. Orlando will work hand in hand with the Governor to bring real lasting property tax relief to Texans.
