An effort to recall councilmen David Pittman, J.R. Simpson and Thil Wilcox in Oroville, California from their positions was launched in February 2015.[1] It was later ruled that only Pittman could be targeted because Simpson and Wilcox were not in office long enough to be the target of a recall petition. A new notice of intent to recall Pittman was filed on February 26.[2]
The recall against Pittman was dropped because Save Oroville Trees did not publish a public notice.[3]
Recall supporters
The group Save Oroville Trees targeted Pittman over the removal of trees in a cemetery.[1]
