This measure sought to replace the current school levy which is set to expire with one set at a rate of $2.46 per $1,000 of assessed property value for a further two years in order to pay for general education maintenance and operational costs in the district.[2]

The question on the ballot:
| The Board of Directors of Oroville School District No. 410 adopted Resolution No. 247, concerning a proposition to finance Maintenance and Operation expenses. This proposition would authorize the District to levy the following excess taxes, in place of an expiring levy, upon all taxable property within the district, for support of the District’s General Fund educational maintenance and operation expenses: Collection Year: 2013-2014; Approximate Rate Per $1,000 Assessed Value: $2.46; Levy Amount: $1,497,371.[3] |
