Media interview
Quick stated the following in an interview with WCTI 12 News:
Meet Orrick Quick
I am a community leader, speaker, pastor, and small-business owner based in North Carolina. I am married with four children and deeply rooted in service to my community. I have spent years working with seniors, families, youth, and underserved communities through education, faith-based outreach, and civic engagement. My life’s work has centered on empowering people, defending truth, and holding systems accountable.
Why I Am Running for Office
I am running for U.S. Senate because too many people feel unheard, unseen, and unprotected by the very government meant to serve them. I believe we need leaders who tell the truth, respect the Constitution, and put people over politics. I am running to restore trust, defend civil liberties, and ensure justice is applied equally — not selectively.
Key Issues Facing North Carolinians
The most pressing issues facing North Carolinians are:
- Affordability
- Access to healthcare
- Public safety rooted in constitutional policing
- Protection of civil rights
- Education
- Economic opportunity
People are struggling with rising costs, fear of government overreach, and a lack of confidence that the system works for everyone.
How I Am Uniquely Qualified
I am not a career politician. I come from the community and have worked directly with the people most impacted by policy decisions. I understand how laws affect real lives because I’ve lived it alongside families, seniors, and working people. My background allows me to lead with both conviction and compassion, while holding firmly to constitutional principles.
One quote that guides me is:
You can’t enforce the law while breaking it.
It reminds me that leadership requires integrity, accountability, and the courage to stand for what is right — even when it’s unpopular.
