Oscar C. Carr III
Oscar C. Carr III was a chancellor for the Thirtieth District Chancery Court Part I of Tennessee. He was appointed to the court by Governor Bill Haslam on October 16, 2014, to replace Kenny Armstrong, who was appointed to the Court of Appeals. Carr's term was set to expire in 2022.[1] On April 6, 2015, Carr died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.[2]
Education
Carr received his bachelor's degree from the University of Virginia in 1973 and his J.D. from Emory University in 1976.[1]
