Oscar Delgado
Oscar Delgado was a member of the Reno City Council in Nevada, representing Ward 3. Delgado assumed office in 2012. Delgado left office on September 30, 2022.
Delgado ran for re-election to the Reno City Council to represent Ward 3 in Nevada. Delgado won in the general election on November 3, 2020.
Although elections for Reno City Council are officially nonpartisan, Delgado is known to be a member of the Democratic Party.[1]
Biography
Delgado earned his B.A. in Geography from the California State University, Fullerton and his dual M.S. in social work and public planning from the University of Michigan. His professional experience includes working as a Care Coordinator for Access to Healthcare Network in Reno, Program/Policy Analyst for Washoe County Juvenile Services, Economic Development Intern for Avalon Housing in Ann Arbor, Michigan, Community Planner for People’s Community services in Detroit, Michigan and HUD Program Coordinator at the Urban Planning Department for the University of Michigan.[2]
Delgado is married. He won the Nevada Young Professional Network and Reno Gazette-Journal “Top Twenty under Forty” recognition in 2012, American Planning Associate Scholar honor in 2010, University of Michigan Merit Scholar award from 2008 to 2010 and Boys and Girls Club of Truckee Meadows Male Youth of the Year in 1999.[2]
