I am Oscar Flores, a San Francisco native, born and raised in District 11 (Excelsior District), where I am now running for office. I am the son of Salvadoran parents and received my K-12 education in the public schools of the San Francisco Unified School District (SFUSD). I pursued my higher education in Mechanical and Space Engineering in England, UK. I have also worked in the fashion-art world (bespoke tailoring) and currently serve as a board member at my church.
  • I support funding law enforcement, increasing penalties, and advocating for a zero-tolerance approach to crime.
  • Addressing Homelessness: I support compassionate yet strong policies to help people get off the streets and into treatment. While enforcing laws to reduce tent encampments, I recognize the vicious cycle many are trapped in and the deep mental and spiritual pain they are experiencing. My approach balances enforcement with expanded mental health and addiction services, while also utilizing conservatorship laws to ensure that those unable to care for themselves can receive the help they need, even if involuntarily.
  • Combatting Corruption and Improving Accountability: I am committed to ensuring transparency and accountability in all government dealings, especially concerning non-governmental organizations (NGOs) that receive public funding. I will advocate for stricter oversight and reporting requirements to ensure that taxpayer dollars are used effectively and that these organizations genuinely contribute to the community's well-being. It is crucial that they do not merely enrich themselves or enable crime and drug use, as seen with some harm reduction and crime programs that fail to address the underlying issues.
Public Safety: Without a safe and secure city, we cannot begin to discuss bringing in new businesses, tourism, and growing the economy. All of this requires a solid foundation where citizens do not have to worry about criminals ransacking their shops, stealing luggage from their cars, or being robbed at gunpoint.
Two people come to mind: Jesus Christ and Marcus Aurelius.
The Holy Bible, where the Old Testament is translated from the Greek text of the Septuagint and the New Testament from the New King James Version.
I believe that my ability to listen actively, empathize with diverse perspectives, and communicate effectively would make me a successful officeholder. Being a diplomat at heart, I prioritize collaboration and understanding to bridge divides and foster constructive dialogue. However, I am also unwavering in my commitment to my core principles and values. While I strive for consensus, I will not compromise on the foundational beliefs that guide my service and dedication to the community.
I would like to leave a legacy of virtuous leadership, grounded in justice and integrity. The true measure of a life well-lived is found in how we contribute to the greater good. I aspire to foster a community where each individual recognizes their duty to one another, promoting harmony and resilience, so that future generations may flourish in a just and honorable society.

Financial transparency and government accountability are essential for building public trust, ensuring that taxpayer dollars are spent wisely. I am committed to advocating for strict oversight and making financial information accessible, so citizens can hold their government accountable.
