Language on the ballot:
| “ | Shall the limitation upon the total amount of general ad valorem taxes imposed upon real and tangible personal property for all purposes in any one year under the Michigan Constitution be increased in the County of Oscoda, Michigan by .50 mills (which is equal to $0.50 per $1,000.00 of taxable value of all such property) for a period of (4) four years, 2012 through 2015 inclusive, to provide funds to the Oscoda County Ambulance Service to purchase and maintain equipment, ambulances and radios, and for building/ground maintenance? The amount of revenue the County will collect if the millage is approved and levied by the County in the first calendar year is estimated to be $187,800.00. The proposed millage is a new additional millage, the revenue from which would be disbursed to the County of Oscoda.[1][2] | ” |
