An Otsego City Fire Truck Bond proposal was approved on the May 7, 2013, election ballot in Allegan County, which is in Michigan.
This measure authorized the City of Otsego to increase its debt by $200,000 through issuing general obligation bonds in that amount in order to fund the purchasing and equipping of a fire truck and related costs.[1]

Language on the ballot:
“ | Shall the City of Otsego, Allegan County, Michigan borrow the principal amount of not to exceed Two Hundred Thousand Dollars ($200,000) and issue its general obligation unlimited tax bonds for all or a portion of that amount in one or more series payable over a period not to exceed five (5) years from issuance to pay the cost of purchasing and equipping a fire truck and related accessories as well as capitalized interest and to pay costs of issuing the bonds?[1][2] | ” |
