This measure sought to replace to the current school levy and increase it to one set at a rate of $.20 per $100 of assessed property value for a continuing period of time in order to further pay for capital improvement projects and repairs in the school district.[2]
Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
A replacement of 1.5 mills of an existing levy and an increase of 0.5 mill to constitute a tax for the benefit of the Ottawa Hills Local School District, Lucas County, Ohio for the purpose of alterations and repairs of existing school facilities and capital improvements at a rate not exceeding 2 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.20 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for a continuing period of time, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.[3] |
