Otway Village Current & Fire Levy Renewals, 2 (November 2011)
Two Otway Village Current & Fire Levy Renewal measures were on the November 8, 2011 ballot in the village of Otway which is in Scioto County.
Both measures were approved
The first measure sought to renew and increase the current expenses levy to one which is set at a rate of $.30 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for current expenses in the village.
The second measure sought to renew and increase the current fire levy with one which is set at a rate of $.10 per $100 of assessed property value for a further five years in order to continue to pay for fire protection services in the village.[1]

Text of measure
The question on the ballot:
First measure: A renewal of 2.8 mills and an increase of 0.2 mill to constitute a tax for the benefit of Otway Village for the purpose of current expenses at a rate not exceeding 3 mills for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.30 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five years, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.
Second measure: A renewal of 0.9 mill and an increase of 0.1mill to constitute a tax for the benefit of Otway Village for the purpose of fire protection at a rate not exceeding 1 mill for each one dollar of valuation, which amounts to $0.10 for each one hundred dollars of valuation, for five years, commencing in 2011, first due in calendar year 2012.[3] |
