Over 30 apply for Nebraska's 4th Judicial District vacancies

LINCOLN, Nebraska: The vacancies of County Judge Stephen Swartz and District Judge Patricia Lamberty have drawn the attention of 38 applicants.

20 people have applied for the County Court judgeship, while 18 submitted their names for the Nebraska District 4.

The applicants will be interviewed by the Judicial Nominating Commission, which will select finalists. The finalists will be interviewed by Gov. Dave Heineman, who will make the appointments.[1]
