Owens Brown
Owens Brown (Democratic Party) was a member of the West Virginia State Senate, representing District 1. He assumed office on October 7, 2021. He left office on December 1, 2022.
Brown (Democratic Party) ran for re-election to the West Virginia State Senate to represent District 1. He lost in the Democratic primary on May 10, 2022.
Gov. Jim Justice (R) appointed Brown to the state Senate on October 7, 2021, to replace William Ihlenfeld, who resigned to become U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of West Virginia.[1][2]
Biography
At the time of his appointment to the West Virginia State Senate, Owens Brown lived in Wheeling, West Virginia. Brown served as president of the West Virginia NAACP.[1]
