Owosso Township Transportation Levy Addition (August 2012)
An Owosso Township Transportation Levy Addition measure was on the August 7, 2012 ballot in the township of Owosso, which is in Shiawassee County.
This measure sought to implement a transportation levy which would be set at a rate of $.33 per $1,000 of assessed value for a period of two years in order to pay for fund the township's portion of the Shiawassee Area Transportation Agency services which allows for township residents to ride at reduced rates. It was approved.

The question on the ballot:
| Shall the Charter Township of Owosso collect up to 1/3 of a mill (.333 cents per $1,000 taxable value) for 2 years, 2012, 2013 to provide funding to Shiawassee Area Transportation Agency (SATA) so that Owosso Charter Township residents can ride for a reduced charge? It is expected, if this millage is approved, that the Township will raise an estimated $44,400.00 in the first year.[1][2] |
